Cadence Dubus (she/her)

Based in Brooklyn but with fully virtual offerings, Cadence brings a multidisciplinary approach to movement shaped by her background in modern dance, Pilates, strength training, neuro-repatterning, and somatic healing. For over two decades, — both locally, nationally and internationally,— Cadence has worked with a wide range of bodies from transmasculine clients to a devoted community of women in their 70s and 80s, supporting each individual with nuance, respect, and care.

As the founder of Brooklyn Strength, Cadence meets clients wherever they are in their process. Her work integrates an understanding of scar tissue, injury and recovery, and the complex physiological and emotional landscapes of pregnancy, birth, aging, fat, dissociated and chronically injured bodies. Drawing from extensive study in anatomy, fascia, biomechanics, and nervous system health, she offers an approach that is both deeply informed and highly personalized.

Cadence’s training includes certifications in Pilates, kettlebell instruction, Structural Integration, and pre-and post-natal movement, as well as advanced study with leaders in Tom Myers’ Anatomy Trains methodology and Alexander Technique. She is also trained in botanical medicine, energy work, and positive neuroplasticity, and continues to pursue ongoing education in injury, rehabilitation, and the neuroscience, psychology and physical foundations of chronic pain.

Rooted in decades of personal practice across multiple somatic and integrative modalities, Cadence’s work is guided by the belief that movement is a powerful tool for healing and self-discovery. She helps clients find relief, restore functional movement, access our universal resilience and ultimately, our innate strength.
