Give your feet strength, and mobility and love!
Give your feet strength, and mobility and love!
Who is this for?
Do you have feet? Then this is for you!
We are on our feet all the time but rarely give them the love and attention they need. Take care of your feet and feel the benefits to your knees, hips, low back and even shoulders and posture! I'm not kidding.
The feet are the basis of our structure as standing human-apes - even if you sit most of the time - your feet need love, strength and mobility. We'll show you how to do that, easily, in just 10-15 minutes each day.

Meet the Teachers
Cadence Dubus
Cadence specializes in folx experiencing a range of physical restrictions especially and including chronic pain.
I come to my teaching from the modern dance, Pilates, Strength, Neuro-repatterning and Yoga worlds. From my work with transmasc clients to my loyal clientele of women in their 70’s and 80’s, I have worked with diverse bodies for over twenty years. As the founder of Brooklyn Strength, I work with clients wherever they are; scar tissue, injury and recovery, the complexities of pregnancy and birth, the circumstances that make up our lives, struggles and celebrations. I help you discover your strength.
Robbie Cook
Robbie is curious about movement; his practice began with sports and martial arts, eventually extending to dance, Pilates, yoga and the study of Functional Anatomy as it pertains to human movement potential. He has also travelled extensively as a dancer, teacher and choreographer.
Robbie is one of Cadence’s oldest friends! They met in a professional Ballet class in 2007(!). Through Robbie, Cadence was introduced to the studio where she became certified to teach Pilates. Robbie was the senior teachers who oversaw her training! Much of Robbie’s style will be familiar to the Brooklyn Strength community, including having a class filled with humor and play, as Robbie’s teaching style has been influential throughout Cadence’s career.

Brooklyn Strength has opened my eyes to a million and one ways that my body is here to serve me instead of hurt me, and that I need to take care of it. I originally discovered this studio for some strength training classes, which were also mental training classes in my eyes; they used creative ways to increase strength and mental power. My all time favorite is the Fascia Release workshops. Never in my life have I experienced pain that hurt so good and made me feel like I had a BRAND NEW body. Cadence is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, accepting, and humorous and creates a space (even virtually) where I feel included into a community that I am not consistent in. I have always felt that I get more than my money’s worth, whatever class I take!

Cadence is exceptionally knowledgeable and talented when it comes to the healing the body. I took her fascia release classes when I lived in Brooklyn and have been missing them dearly ever since I moved away. Truly the highlight of the switch to a virtual world this crappy year, has been getting to do fascia release with her again. I learn so much every time and always walk away feeling like a new woman.

Taking classes at Brooklyn Strength has changed how I view my body. Chronic pain has been part of my life for years, and I never saw myself as someone who had the potential for strength. Working with Cadence has helped me understand how to trust my body, and I now know that I will always find a way to work with whatever issues arise. It's been a remarkable journey, and I'm so grateful.

Cadence changed my life through Fascia Release - after years of TMJ and back pain I learned real methods for pain relief through her classes and private sessions. Cadence is also so generous with her extensive knowledge of anatomy and movement; she will teach out how to take care of your own body rather than just relying on others for help.
